The Sidama region is an ideal place for growing coffee due to its fertile soil and high altitude. Daye Bensa is committed not only to processing and exporting quality coffee here, but also to supporting local communities through infrastructure and education projects.
The harvest begins with the careful hand-picking of ripe cherries, which are then sorted according to quality in water tanks. After sorting, the cherries are dried on raised beds where they are rotated regularly to ensure even drying. This process takes 12 to 15 days, after which the coffee is peeled and prepared for export.
